Yay to St Nicks' FIESTA 2008! We broke the Guinness World Of Records!

This time's Fiesta was much more enjoyable than 2006's Fiesta. Thank goodness I made it a point to go at 9am even though my shift starts at 2.30pm. The haunted house was okay. Not that frightening, I mostly screamed cos someone else did. Luckily Hannah, Lai Sum and I went there at 9.30 when the queue had only a few groups of threes. We had to hold some light sticks and crawl under some small place...while hands grabbed you as you struggle to move forward. I still think the Band Camp's music-room-haunted-room thing was scarier//

I wasn't much of a pig today. The only regret was that I did not buy those nice hot crispy delicious cheesy fries! Oh man. Oh man. Oh man. Why did they have to run out of fries? Are there not enough potatoes in the world to make fries? Huh? Huh?

Drank so many 2 cups of bubble tea. THEY ARE SO ADDICTIVE.
I suspect it's the pearls.
I think they put MSG inside,
Then inject them with steriods to make them look so appealing.
Like fat chickens.

After Mrs Goh's short and sweet persuasive speech, I considered about taking part in the Fiesta Homecoming Run. And I did! For a little sum of $10 only. Turns out that St Nicks doesn't really care much about the money but more of the no. of people taking part.
...or do they?

Okay, I sound a little too much like Lynette.

The run was really a once-in-a-lifetime-chance. Especially the fact that I get to see Dr William Tan marathon-ing on his wheelchair/wheelroller/wheelcycle! He's so cool man, his arms go round and round and round, so cool! Haha, maybe my name would be published in the GBR...along with thousands of St Nicks girls and some members of the public.

Then it started to rain. Thank goodness I wasn't one of those unlucky ones who got caught in the rain and still had to run 100m and pass that sweaty golden baton around. One father of some SNG girl was like running and running and running. Even as it started to rain, he still continued running and running till his shirt got all transparent.

Okay that was not necessary.

Ohoh! And Lynette told me that when we were running, Ms Chan was like, "St Nicks, give the runners a Hip Hip Hurray! One...Two...Three...HPHIPHURRAY!" No one answered her though. To cover up her embarrassment, she said "Oh, that Hip Hip Hurray goes to all the runners. Hahahaha!"

Hahahaha. Not.

We are the only school in Singapore to have a holiday next Monday!

I think the Bullfrog was more unusual than usual today. She keeps talking about things we cannot see and that they were pulling her hair or something. Then she starts laughing and sents us flutes out to practice chromatics. When we got back in, she starts having even more hallucinations and accuses Sandy of smiling at the stuff only some people (like Bullfrog) can see. Then she jokes about it (or them) once more and chuckles. As in really chuckles. Like "Hig-k hig-k hig-k zznort shunorrt hig-k".

Happy 25th Birthday Daddy! Don't be sad when you see the extraordinary number of big candles on the cake, I've heard that if you think young, you become young!

Anyway, I've also realised that MOS BURGER is better than Macs, KFC, PizzaHut, LongJohnSilver, blahblah put all together! Oh look at the thinkness and juiceness of those thick and juicy fries! Compared to the puny dehydrated ones of Macs, these are like...so much bigger! And those burgers...their soft hot buns simply melt into your mouth when you eat them. Last but not least, the thing that kept me alive most of the time during band was (I think) the MAYONEEEESE (sorry, not sure how to spell). I'm not really those type who eat and eat and eat (and eat) fries everyday, but really. The mayoneeeese combined with the buns and the fish and the cheese was simply fantabulastic. Even thinking about it makes me chui tou san chi.

Mr MOS, I hereby salute you. May you die a happy death and live to have as many children as the number of hair on my sister's head (don't worry, my sister has many hairs :/ ).

Taxi Driver (looks at me through mirror): Ah, near Bishan Library right?
Me: Yeah.


Taxi travels for a while and stops at a red light.


Taxi Driver: Aiyoh, nowadays rain soooooo much, later Singapore have tsunami how? (laughs in a hohoho way)
Me (a little hesitantly): Hahahaha...

Scene 2

I suddenly notice a one dollar coin on the floor.

Me: Uncle there's a one dollar coin on the floor. (hands it to him)
Taxi Driver: Ah! Thank you thank you! Wah, girl, you so kind eh, so kind!
Me (smiles a little)

Continues to travel until reaches J8.

Taxi Driver: Seven fifty please.
Me (hands him 10 dollar note)
Taxi Driver (gives me my change as I proceed to open door): Thank you, take care hor girl, take care!

Saturday had been one fun day. Thank you everyone who have made it possible. Especially the sausages and chicken wings. You guys rock my taste buds!
Unfortunately, Danica forgot to bring the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen DVD and we had to watch Pirates of the Carribean instead. Also, I realised Jiamin and I have different tastes in movies and music. She hates Pirates and the League show, but loves some other show about romance or something. Ahahaha, so not like her.

Anyway, I would like to take this chance to thank my gracious and helpful host, Potato, and her parents Mr and Mrs Potato. Thank you for helping me spread butter on my raw chicken wings and for letting me know how delicious barbecued honey-glazed hotdogs taste like. I appreciate your kind hostality and I'm sorry for leaving many many many cups on the table.

Today is the last day of school (until term 2 reopens the following week).
I am so glad that we can finally relax (not with the overflowing pile of homework).
I can sleep in almost everyday (if there were no such thing as CCA and tuition).

I am sick. Not mentally (unlike a certain friend of mine), but PHYSICALLY. I'm not physically distorted, mind you. But I'm having fever! My body feels weak, my eyes are tired, my head's throbbing, my appetite's gone, I've lost a few kgs. Yet when I take my temperature, I am a spiffing 36.3 degrees c! Aaah!
Still, despite of my weak body+tired eyes+throbbing head+lost of appetite, I continue coming to school. TO TAKE MY SCIENCE TEST. How does she do it? How can she study in those conditions? Well, to tell you the truth, I didn't really study the four entire chapters instead, I slept for 2 hours, when I was supposed to sleep for 15 mins.
During recess, people were complaining of how extremelyhorridlyextraordinarily difficult the test was. Did that help? Nooooooooooooooooooo.
Then nice little (okay, maybe not that little) Lai Sum came to the rescue! She waited patiently at the vineyard to bring me to class! YAY LAI SUM!
I think I should be able to go on Saturday. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen here I come!
